Shehzad Ahmad was declared man of the match.

Governor of Gilgit- Baltistan, Pir Karam Ali Shah was the Chief Guest at the grand finale of Shandur festival. The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Corps Commander Gilgit and IGP Frontier Corps were also present at the occasion.  The Chief Guest announced Rs. 100,000 for each team. A polo player of Gilgit team fell down from his horse during the match who was rushed to the emergency hospital in Chitral.

During his welcome address, Saleem Khan, provincial minister for population said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Raja Perveiz Ashraf was scheduled to watch the games but he could not make it due to bad weather condition. His claim was promptly rejected by Syed Aqil Shah Provincial Minister Sports and Tourism, who said, that the weather did not hindered anything –-  the Prime Minister did not come due to other reasons.

This scribed asked Governor Gilgit Baltistan about why PPP leaders— both Prime Minister and President – did not show any interest in such mega tourism show of the country whereas former President Perveiz Musharaf visited Shandur twice. The governor tricked the question around and changed the topic.
