Mother of Physically Challenged Kalash Child appeals for Support

Mother of Physically Challenged Kalash Child appeals for Free Treatment.

CHITRAL/BUMBORAT— Mother of a physically handicapped Kalash child has appealed for free medical treatment of her son. According to detail Sadiq Ali 6, whose father Shahdulla died few years back, is physically challenged for the last four years. His mother Saira Bibi told this scribe that she found her son Sadiq Ali very weak after one year of his birth.

She took him to Chitral hospital but doctors could not diagnose anything. While she was struggling with treatment of her son, her husband, the only bread winner passed away all of the sudden. The poor widow soon found herself in a miserable condition and the treatment of her son, Saddiqu, thus remains a distant dream. She said that a wheel chair was donated by a foreign tourist but to her great sorrow the Government of Pakistan or any Muslim never extended any help or support.

She said that she is a hardworking lady and is responsible for the livelihood of her entire family— including her physically impaired son.

Sadiq Ali is on medication and he remains normal on if he takes medicines timely. As his mother hardly affords to pay for the medicines, he suffers and suffers big time. Saira Bibi has appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, provincial authorities and charity organizations to support her son’s treatment. She can be reached at the following phone number in Chitral. (0092) 943-404108.
