Passing our Parade of new Recruits of Chitral Border Police held

Chitral— The border police held Annual Passing out Parade for its new recruits who successfully finished their 17-week training here at Drosh. The oath taking ceremony took place at Chitral Scouts Drosh Cantonment. Commandant Chitral Border Police Rahmatullah Khan Wazir, who also holds the position of District Coordination Officer of Chitral, was the chief guest on the occasion. Scouts here paid Guard of Honours to the Chief Guest.

The recruits took oath during the passing out parade and committed to safeguard the borders of the country that lies along the Taliban filled Afghan border. The Chief Guest emboldened the recruits to be ready for the call of duty.

“Chitral has a long border stretching along the Afghan border that, time and again, encroached by insurgents from Afghanistan. We put our trust in you to safeguard the borders of the country and I am sure you know the magnitude of responsibility.” He said.

Rehmatullah Khan Wazir has—since he came into his current role— taken keen interest in strengthening the Chitral border police.  Here at the ceremony he promised to continue his efforts to empower the border police.

The passing out parade was participated by a large number of uniformed and civilian people.
