3rd Islamabad Literature Festival to kick off on Friday, April 24
Islamabad: Aiming at bringing together Pakistani and international writers to showcase their writings, the 3rd Islamabad Literature Festival will start on Friday evening, April 24, 2015 at the Margallah Hotel Islamabad.
The three – day Islamabad Literature Festival will bring a galaxy of literary figures, anchor persons, journalists and many literature lovers, together. Talks, interviews, panel discussions, readings, book launches, mushaira, author signings, book fair are different events. Through these events the writers and speakers will shed light on multifarious issues.
Amid the prevailing gloominess due to the political imbalance and the security problems in the city, Islamabad Literature Festival is said to bring fragrance and peace to the city.
Oxford University Press, Pakistan is arranging this festival. Ameena Sayyid, the MD OUP and Asif Farrukhi, founder Karachi and Islamabad Literature Festivals will host this festival. It is free and open to all the literature lovers.
