Ring the wedding bell as Sofia Richie ties the knot!
According to multiple reports, the 24-year-old model and youngest daughter of Lionel Richie married British record executive Elliott Grange in a lavish wedding ceremony on Saturday at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Rogue in Antibes, France. Vogue A few weeks before the wedding ceremony, she revealed that she visited the Chanel haute couture salons in Paris for her final fitting with her mother-in-law Lady Caroline Grange and her best friend Ali Mellor.
The fashion magazine said Sofia’s wedding dress was “a unique bridal silhouette with a criss-cross neckline inspired by Chanel’s Fall 2023 collection.”
And get this, her “something blue” dress had “S&E” with the date stitched on the inside. “I’m so excited,” Sophia told the store. [It’s] Because I’m marrying Elliott, and it seems early — but he’s the man of my dreams.”
The big day began with Sofia treating her closest friends to an intimate brunch. On Friday, she looked stunning in a white gown.
In the days before the main event, Sofia shared photos with her loved ones at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. A source told ET about the nuptials preview, “Sophia and Elliot are so excited for their wedding celebrations. They are so in love and can’t wait for their family and friends to be a part of it. Everyone is tricking to France early. The big day and everyone there is having a great time.”
“Sophia and Elliot have a wonderful relationship and are very loving and in sync,” added the source. “Sofia is going to wear a Chanel dress and is beyond ecstatic. It’s a full weekend affair.”
The nuptials come a year after the couple revealed their engagement in April 2022. “Never @Elliott enough,” Richie captioned his social media post at the time.
Following her split from Scott Disick in 2020, ET confirmed Sophia and Elliott’s relationship in April 2021.
“They’ve been friends for years and Elliott is close with Sofia’s brother Miles,” a source said at the time.
“Sofia is very happy to be dating someone her family approves of and likes,” the source added. “Sophia and Elliot are happy and having fun together.”
As for how her famous relatives feel about the news, a source told ET, “Lionel, Nicole and the rest of Sofia’s family are very happy for her and think Elliott is a great guy who fits right in with them.”
In October, Sofia and Nicole celebrated with NSFW accessories at her bachelorette party in Paris.
Ahead of the wedding day, the bride shared with fans that she had converted to Judaism. “What a magical day,” she wrote on her Instagram Story in April. “I want to thank Cantor Nathan Lamm for helping me on this journey of conversion to Judaism. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Today was it!!!”
